Psoriasis is a highly common, persistent skin condition.
Symptoms
Flaky red patches on the skins surface similar to scales, are a typical obvious sign of Psoriasis. It usually does not cause itching but it will cause distress and embarrassment at ones appearance. Areas of the body most often affected by psoriasis are the hands, elbows, behind the ear, scalp, back, legs, and knees.
Cause
Psoriasis is metabolic and can be triggered by environmental or stressful conditions, poor diet, flu-like problems, penicillin, and nutritional deficiencies. Patients with psoriasis are also at a higher risk for rheumatoid diseases.
